Our Residency Program

Internship

We are always looking for self-starting, problem-solving people who enjoy working with their hands, have a passion for creativity and want to learn more about the world of hand-crafted leather goods, leather tools, and working as part of a collaborative team.In our internship program, you’ll learn the basics of leather craft including leather selection, cutting, hand-stitching, and utilizing specific tools and machinery.

Our internship is located in our studio, in Charlotte, NC, and runs 10 hours per week for 10 weeks total (typically in two five-hour shifts per week). We realize everyone is busy and will work with you to find a schedule that works for you. With very limited exceptions, and to make the most of your learning experience in our studio, your 10 weeks need to run consecutively.

Working with ColsenKeane will be an experience that adds to your professional list of skills and, when your internship is successfully completed, you have the opportunity to craft a bag of your choosing from our standard collections (Retail value $950.00) to take home: Our gift to you for your valuable time and work.

If you are interested in applying to join our internship program, please email your resume to tina@colsenkeane.com. Please include a cover letter telling us a little about you and your experience working with your hands, your schedule and availability, and what you most hope to gain by participating in our internship program.

Please note that when we are actively hiring, we do first consider our current or former interns. We look forward to hearing from you!
