Why We Keep Hosting Events (Hint: It's Not Just for the 'Gram)
Let's be real. When most people hear "brand event," they picture a folding table, a banner with a logo slapped on it, and someone in a polo shirt nervously offering you a branded pen. That's not what we're about.
At ColsenKeane, events have become something we genuinely look forward to, and our recent Journal Atelier is proof that when you put real materials in people's hands and invite them to make something, the whole energy shifts.
Here's what happened: a group of strangers walked in, and about two hours later, they left with a handmade journal, part of the Leathersmithing experience and connections they didn't have before walking in the door, turns out...we know the same people within the community.Â
There's something that happens when everyone in the room is equally focused on not messing up their grommet setting. Suddenly you're chatting with the person next to you about how they're going to fill their journal, or commiserating over the fact that leather tools are deceptively sneaky. The shared struggle is, honestly, a little bit magic. You stop being a customer and a brand and start just being people in a room making something together.
That's the part we can't package and put on the website. The leather goods? Yes, absolutely, those we can ship to your door. But the moment someone holds up their finished journal and inspires others with their creativity? That's only available in person.
We're not just here to sell you something beautiful. We're here to show you that you can make something beautiful too, and that the process of doing it is worth showing up for. Sore fingertips and all.
So if you've been on the fence about coming to one of our workshops: don't be. Bring a friend, bring your curiosity, and maybe bring a snack because we get pretty into it and time flies.
More events are coming. Keep an eye on our Instagram so you don't miss the next one. Your hands deserve to do something cool.
