Babe of Brooklyn is a small, family-owned and run business; a living tribute to the Allen family's history in the Hair & Beauty/Mens-Grooming Industry.
Our story starts in 1960's Brooklyn where Mom, a licensed Cosmetologist, worked and started her family with our father a United States NAVY man who made Brooklyn his home after WWII. Vintage Romance coupled with the times and the state of our NATION is where the story begins. Far from perfect yet all of the inspiration we needed to build.
Fast forward a few years, to fond memories of, 1970's Boston with Dad at Uncle Johns Barbershop, here the first seeds were also chronicled and planted for the milieu. Back in Brooklyn a spark was ignited; we couldn't find grooming/beard care products on the market that worked and or fit our family's natural and vegan lifestyle. This made us tap into what we already knew: "if we wanted something done right, we would have to do it ourselves." The end result was No.1: Original (Beard Balm).
